![]() For an autochoke, ensure the engine is completely cold and do the same thing. For manual, move the lever to CHOKE and then remove the air filter and confirm the choke plate is fully closed. If it is only marked FAST and SLOW, you have an autochoke. If the black throttle lever control has a CHOKE position, you have a manual choke. The VKA came with either a manual or automatic choke. Inspect and clean spark plug verify air filter is spotless, replace both if questionable. If you do, pay close attention to all the spring, rods and gaskets and ensure they are correctly fitted back. trying to properly clean and reassemble the old one.
